The 2008 Portland Jazz Festival was a great success and we want to thank you for making it possible. This year’s Festival was the largest and best yet, drawing 35,000 attendees from all over the globe. We showcased fifteen student bands in the PDX Jazz Pavilion, presented sixteen ticketed performances, and were recognized by IAJE for our educational programming. As a small non-profit organization, we rely on your efforts and are grateful we have such strong supporters of jazz and friends of the Festival. We truly could not have done all this without you. You were the face of the Festival, and you were the ones behind the scenes making it all happen.
As we wrap up the 2008 Festival, we are already planning for next year and are excited to be hosting the 70th Anniversary of Blue Note Records. Stay tuned for more information. In the meantime, please let us know if you have any questions or comments. We are always looking for ways to improve our Festival and would welcome any feedback you have to offer.
